Bugs/glitches more than just inconvenient, returning my copy

Post » Tue Mar 29, 2011 10:04 pm

I realize that the issues are "being worked on" but that vague answer is just not enough to justify me holding onto this game, it's gotta go back.

Freezing issues and autosave issues I can deal with, but what I can't abide is quests and followers disappearing or going unfinished because of shoddy game testing. Specifically losing Boone when I fired him and told him to wait at the 38 and then picking up Raul to replace the disappeared Boone, then not being able to finish his free quest to upgrade his perk because one of the NPCs you need to talk to also vanished (Cpl. Sterling).

Sadly for me, I really love this game, and I really want to play it. It's just too frustrating though in the condition it's in (and sad really). I've been playing Fallout games forever, and this game is so bittersweet.

I'll probably buy it again once the really major bugs have been fixed, but in the state it's in this game and these devs don't deserve my $60, and I'll do everything in my power to make sure they DON'T get it.

For clarification, I purchased the 360 version of the game.

Did you read this? And have you patched? Have you asked for assistance for your own problems in the hardware and software sections?

I am doubtful you will be able to return an open disc. I am so sorry you are having problems though. :(

I was going to post a topic asking about the glitches but this answered everything for me. I hope the patch comes out soon for Xbox 360. It's extremely frustrating to have to save every few minutes for fear of the game glitching or freezing up. Absolutely love the game though. I'll just be patient I guess.

Yea, I have done all those things. No response on the hardware/software section, and I've patched, which I didn't know had been released this morning. I'm taking a check around to see if the issues have been fixed in my game, and I'll reserve judgment until then.
