Has anyone found any of those? So far I have a bee, a butterfly, a dragonfly, a night moth and a torchbug: [http://pix.playground.ru/download/gallery/276634/85ba2342a6e9b1f8257a759fa0b0d236.jpg]

Yes, found them. And this should be moved to Spoilers section if you want to know what they are for...

From all over the Skyrim. The bee is from the bee farm, a thieves guild quest, for instance.

Alright, now that you have them, flip them over and translate the runic text on the bottom of each lid.

Maybe the runes say "Shop at ThinkGeek.com."

I know they sell the butterfly and the firefly in jars. Some kind of crossover promo?

I've only found the bee, luna moth and butterfly so far.

I'd be really interested to know what the bloody things are for, once someone figures it out.

According to the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Torchbug_in_a_Jar#Bugs_in_a_Jar, those five are all there are in the game. They also list the locations.

There is a HUGE debate on what the jar's are all about on another forum. It seems they may be a part of a hidden quest. I doubt I can link the site here, but search for the thread on reedit. It's quite expansive and a lot of time and effort is being put into the mystery.

Please tell me exactly how you lined them up so nicely on your table in the Whiterun house.

This is what they're for:
Spoiler
Nothing special about these. It's just another collection quest mini game. The total bugs in a jar that can be collected are 5.

Bee in a Jar--find this during or after TG quest "Loud and Clear" at the Goldenglow Estate outside Riften

Moth in a Jar--In the Falmer Hive calleed Duskglow Crevice. This hive is in the Pale hold

Torchbug in a Jar--at the Frostflow lighthouse in Winterhold. This triggers a dungeon quest btw

Dragonfly in a Jar--at the Dushnikh Yal Orc stronghold in the Reach hold. You'll need to become adopted by the Orcs by doing their side quest first to get access to the chief's house (or commit genocide and murder your way through)

Butterfly in a Jar--in the Alchemist Shack in the Rift at the foothills of Throat of the World

I don't, but there have been all sorts of translation attempts. People are convinced it's a massive easter-egg, and the more I dig into it, the more I am convinced there is something behind it. There are just to many coincidences surrounding the runes.

However, I also understand that we as man love a good mystery as much as we like to bring order to chaos. The fact that those runes exist is enough to create all sorts of theories, but this one looks like it may just be the key to something HUGE in game that centers around the massive statue of Talos in the middle of the map.

I looked around the official forums and haven't seen anything on this topic, which makes me thing that 'beth' is keeping it on the downlow. I'll know one way or another if my comments on the subject are removed. lol

If you search the site I mentioned above, you'll get all sorts of info on the theories, including attempted translations of the ruins and a lot of player research into the matter. Personally, I think 'Beth' teamed up with the CIA and whoever solves the puzzle is getting offered a job by the government. haahaa

Somehow, I have 2 torchbug jars.
I left the place where you find it (mentioned in a spoiler post above) and came back later to clear it out (took the jar the first time, though).
Could the jar have respawned?
I honestly don't remember where/when I found them, but now there's 2 in my Solitude house as well as the bee and moth.
