Buildings with collapsing floors and roofs

Bah - re-read the thread please, it can most certainly handle falling rocks and trap pits!

It was a semi joke. It seems like everytime something is mentioned that isn't in the game its because the engine can't handle it.

It *is* in the game, just rare.

I hate that there will be a question like "Why can't we have more guns?" answer is something like "Well the engine can't handle it because [insert total bull s*** here]"

Yea all I ever see anymore is "the engine can't handle it." Its like the easy way out now to blame everything on the engine. I think rikaelus entirely missed the point of my earlier post...

You are missing out on Point Lookout!... on Motehership Zeta, not so much. That DLC blew. Although I liked the audio tapes from all the abductees.

I know! It looks so good. But I just got sick of buying Windows Live Point from stores for these DLCs, and I've had enough of Fallout 3 anyway. Plus for some reason my Windows Live isn't working anymore.

My apologies then. :)

In my view, this "old" engine with "outdated graphics" is actually incredibly sophisticated and able to do things that no other game engine currently out there can do. Oblivion was produced on it, now rated one of the top 10 games of all time or something crazy like that. Fallout3 was produced on it, and hit the top of the charts and won all sorts of awards. So to me its frankly crazy that people complain So Very Much about what the engine can't do or should do, when it already has fantastic capabilities and a game editor to rival any in the industry. Now were getting yet another upgrade, a 3rd generation if you will (or 4th? 5th?) that will have even more features and capabilities - it boggles the mind. This destructible building materials thread is just another of a thousand things it can do - and I very much am looking forward to playing it and having the NV-GECK on day 1. Sure it will have flaws, but I get the feeling that they will pale in comparison to the goodness.

I got your point just fine... I also got that it was completely invalid.
