Hey guys,

So, I've started a new game after a very long time. I've gotten to Whiterun and I've turned in the quest where I warn the Jarl of the dragon. We move onto the next quest (where he introduces Farengar) and he leads me to the wizard. He stops in front of the table and says nothing. I figured I'd just go to Farengar and talk to him, but concerning the dialog "The Jarl said you have a project for me" the only dialog option afterwards is "Nevermind. I'll wait for the Jarl." It becomes this back and forth of trying to get Balgruuf to speak to Farengar but nothing. I've attacked them, I've reloaded the game, I've rested... I'm out of options!

What should I do? How do I cure this bug?

If the dragonstone is retrieved prior to talking to the jarl, The option to give Farengar the stone may not appear.
