Burial for Lydia

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 5:47 am

Ok,,ok,,,, I admit I have issues :ermm: , but the fact is I’ve had Lydia fighting by my side for 50 hours of gaming, she was always keen eyed with bow and swift with blade, saved my Nord ass in many of tombs across this harse vile land. I report this eve that we were ambushed by an Imperial patrol of a half dozen and she did not make it through the fight. I’ve made the start of a long journey to carry Lydia's body back to one of my homes for a descent burial since you cannot fast travel with a corpse on your back or horse, I will give here a descent burial and lay her to rest in a modded private tomb on my property.....

I will find every imperial camp I can come across and slay all these bastards, I’ve already sent word to Ulric about my loss and revenge plans.... hopefully he will understand my change of course from his current orders..

Long live Lydia...my mug will be lifted in her honor many times this eve........ :foodndrink:

Why don't you just reload a previous save? It might be too late now, but not if you had done it right away. Unless you let her stay dead for roll play reasons.

I left her body in a sunlit cave. She was pursuing a troll, but accidentally found my axe instead...

If Lydia dies, it's game over. Time to commit suicide and reincarnate. (start new game)

I mourned over the loss of Lydia. Not as hardcoe as you, I allow one console resurrect per follower, so on her second death I decided to give her a burial at sea and drug her body to a waterfall and sent her on her way. My character was destroyed over it and turned to drinking for a while until he found a wife.

Now I craft ebony or daedric gear for my followers, or whatever the best gear I can make is at the time. Seems to make HUGE difference in how many times they seem to get knocked down which is when they are vulnerable for death. I fortify everything with health enchantments that I can.

Why does everyone like Lydia so much...? Personally I found her annoying, and there are plenty of other followers, it's not like she's the only option... I just dont understand.

I took her soul on the sacrificial post and was laughing madly as I did it. She was useless and after too many restarts, and "I am sworn to carry your burdens," I was so thrilled that a quest actually allowed me to kill her with purpose. All this Lydia-love is preposterous, and anyone who marries her is a damned fool.

I like the waterfall idea, but know that she can be used for a sweet enchantment, such as a necklace that will remind me of her sweet demise, is so much better. I'm just trying to figure out which enchant to go with. There's no enchant that makes you a sarcastic wretch of a human being. Probably something that adds protection, since she will be,"protecting me with her life." God, I despised that woman.

Too bad the Raise zombie spell only works once on a corpse.

You're doing the right thing OP. Lydia deserves no less!
I'm not sure if my Lydia dies if I will mourn over her more than I did for Aranea Lenith.

Mad!,, yes i thought about the waterfall burial, but only briefly, I will get her back to my estate this evening with services planned the day after with myself and house hands attending.

In my game Lydia is still at my house.

If she did die she would make a very tasteful meal. I think I would eat her heart first.
