So I learned that butterflies are really powerful. I tried to set one on fire and nothing happend! It burns, but doesnt die or anything. Just keeps flying.. So Watch out for those nasty creatures :blink:

I just remember when I learned I could catch them and I was like :touched:

I got trapped between two butterflies once but mercifully there was no dragon around. I bet you had a few choice words for that insect.

Dragonborn is pretty OP to, he can stand on campfires and braziers and not get burned.

Those words would have been FUS RO DAH, and YOL TOR SHUL, but when I went back on the load game the butterfly wasnt there. the Dragon was though....I'm surprisde the OP couldnt kill them with the Shouts, the ones I mention work nicely, resulting in two wings dropping to the ground, quite comical. I like to imagine the body being blown clear to hell as the wings just float in place.

I will have to try to blast the butterflies to Oblivion it I get stuck on one again I did not think to try that out. I was just trying to wiggle free casting destruction around like a madman. Curse those foul little winged demons.

I was still amazed when I learned I could catch them which happened by accident. Then when I tried to, it was not easy. I now have the hang of it, but at first I had to use Slow Time to catch them.

I traumatized the young sibling of a friend of mind by walking up to a butterfly. poor things attention span was fubar as it watched the fluttering butterfly in the midday sun. only for my to whip out a sword and "cut" it. :lmao:

plucking them leaves a warm feeling inside, anyone try destroying them by telekinetically hurling a bastket/pot/wagon at them?

I have this obsession with plucking everyone I see, I remember reading about it or hearing it before the games release, but then I seen how useful those wings are and those butterflies have no chance, I never used slow time on them but I have catching them down to a science in precision now.

I use them for sword practice...you can actually cut them in two...eventually.

We need a mod that adds pretty butterflies that you cannot interact with, as with the bats, and replaces the harvestable butterflies with big blood-drinking mosquitoes. Guilt-free alchemy.

noooo, I couldnt interact with them at all in Oblivion, and I was killed by one in Morrowind, House mod by a well known modder at the time, I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME *sniffs* she made awesome stuff. a fairy race mod as well, that was fun wings and all. anyone I got pwnt by a butterfly because I accidentally casted an area frenzy spell and had no idea a butterfly was killing me.

now we can finlly do stuff with them again
