He reminds of Asher from The Pitt DLC for Fallout 3. Both of them resort to relying on slavers, slaves, violence, and cannibals. Both of them hope to one day achieve domination of some sort. Both of them have "Good Intentions" but choose to manipulate a group of people for their purpose. And both of them also can be murdered by your character when you get pissed at them. I don't know about anyone else, but I thought the resemblance was kinda cool. Does anyone else agree with me?

Because of Emil's crippling inability to write, most every story in Fallout 3 is heavily flawed. Ashur didn't come off as well as Caesar, but I do agree with your assessment. Caesar's tale is merely Ashur's written competently.

Does no one see that they copied an already brilliant idea and pasted some elder scrolls into it?? Like that crippled sergeant in Novac who teaches you to cripple someone by holding back and power hit....hmmm, sound like Oblivion to me. Don't get me wrong I love the Fallout series, only by nature, and I do love what Bethesda did to the series. You can't be praised 100% for someone else's idea. It's not like they completely added an whole lot of different ideas into the game. I'm sure Brian Fargo had the D.C. Wasteland and Mojave desert in his head. I want to see some off the wall sh*t added to the Fallout series. What happens in Germany?? China?? I know they did the reds in Anchorage but come on, change from the USA, go further man. I think Caesar is different from Ashur in that he doesn't have a righteous goal. Ashur used slaves so they can one day obtain a civilization free of radiation but I am pretty sure Caesar wants to just conquer everything. Ashur was awesome, I was like "to heck with the slaves, I'm siding with this guy because he gets me". If you replace "slaves" with "humans" then you will also get my reasoning for siding with President John Henry Eden. I wonder if it was canon.

Ashur referred to them as workers not slaves, because they could one day retain their freedom. But as far as curing radiation you're right, that's what he wanted. But he knew that people weren't going to rebuild Pittsburgh out of the kindness of their hearts, so he quite the brotherhood, stayed and dominated himself ruler. Any type of government has to be governed in a cruel way in some part. No one likes doing anything that they don't want to be doing, Ashur was just an old fashion guy so to speak. He knew what was best for the majority of its (Pittsburgh) people. Idk about the whole arena for your freedom deal, but he got the just.....
