just started a new game with 1.05 patch and went to camp mccarran to take the monorail but it always freezes when i discover the location...

I'm having the same issue, but it's the Crashed B-29 site. It's frozen three times in a row while i'm trying to swim down their. Any help would be appreciated!

I had some slow down getting into the camp and walking to the terminal, but didn't really have an issue once inside. I took a quick walk, as I was just trying to get Veronica to react, and then went back out.

I spent about ten minutes trying to walk away and maybe, maybe, made it ten virtual feet. I couldn't get the Pip-Boy to respond (though I did hear the flashlight come on at one point) and I could pull up both the game's menu via the start button and the PS3 menu via the home button. So, while not a total crash, I did have to return to the XMB to get anything to respond.

And everything else, including New Vegas proper, which I was avoiding because of earlier freezing, was going so well.
