Campfire

This really basic but I am having a problem with activating a campfire to complete the tutorial. I am missing something in how to do it. I am sure it is simple but I am having a brain fart and could use some help.

Don't laugh please

Look at it and hit the "activate" key, same way you open a door.

If I might venture a guess - your cursor must be VERY CLOSE to the object to interact with it. Often times the "Activate Campfire" dialog comes up, but in actuality you need to be closer to the object. Try crouching to get closer. This happens frequently with doors as well. Just another 'minor bug.'

On a side note, the whole "campfire" thing is dumb. Many crafting recipes clearly don't require heat to complete. Other function could easily be preformed on any fire (ie. a stove, oil barrel fire) but you MUST use a campfire.

Furthermore, why the hell can you create a campfire with basic tools (flint, matches, wood). This is very annoying. Especially because if you keep a stockpile of resources in a house you are required to truck all your craft-able material to a campfire JUST to bring up the dialog of what you can craft. Often I will grab a bunch of ingredients, travel to a nearby campfire, only to realize I am missing components. Arg.

All in all another spectacular failure of what should be a very simple system of "food crafting." Was this game not tested at all?
