Can we all stop complaining and be happy Bethesda is giving

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:38 am

Now time to drop some knowledge. The game jam. Todd Howard let everyone do whatever they want and include it in the game. They said before release there wouldn't be dragon mounts. so no one was allowed to work on that before Skyrim went gold. some things like Were-Bears we're asked for and they said no. now we see them. the things like dark dungeons, and better looking water flow. were not possible before Skyrim went gold. now they have tons more time and are working out the kinks for it. Spears we're asked for but they said no. and they were not worked on. now there's a good chance we're getting them! now can we all stop complaining about how this should have been in Skyrim from the start, and be happy Bethesda cares about it's fans and is going to give us some sweet dlc?

But here's the thing. They are not for sure releasing it as dlc. Todd said they don't know if they're releasing it as dlc, and they don't know if they're releasing some of it for free.

I would trade all of those things in for a kill cam toggle. I am so sick of them, they totally ruin random combat encounters for me.

Hmmm...
I dislike the tone of your post. It puts the emphasys on the complaining - which has been notoriously rare in this instance - when it should've been placed on the huge ammount of praise Beth has received over the Jam Video and what the Devs could pull out in just one week of surveillance-free time.

Also, I will tell you this:
I promise you,
I swear,
Here, hardly anyone ever accepts calls to do or cease doing.
?ever has worked.
Never will.

Thank goodness for that.

They wouldn't show it if they weren't gonna release some of it.

Thats like saying they wouldn't tell us about something if it wasn't in game.

I'm still trying to figure out how to sabotage mills, and find an light touch on economy.

Seriously be happy? Beth aside from releasing the CK thus far isnt doing anyone any favors, I don't get how one can beat the "they're a business Drum so its ok what their doing" and at the same time one should "be happy because they are beth"

Aren't they a business?

It has been a glorious half a month without these kinds of threads, barely any complaining or whatever. lets keep it that way.

They wouldn't show it otherwise?

Can I give you a small example of something that goes against this?

Worms: A Space Oddity was supposed to have online play on the Wii. It was talked about in previews. It was scarped during QA testing.

Just because you show, or talk about something, does not mean it will make it to the final product, in this case DLC, with 100% certainty.

The economy was cut for time constraints i believe. And NO favors? how about releasing the game of the century? and i don't say this just because they are Beth. Beth has made me mad before. it made me mad they let Obsidian make New vegas. it made me mad they couldn't even help me when my new vegas file messed up. it made me mad when they said there was no arena. but i got over it. and i am now playing the greatest game ever made.

If bethesda cared about it's fans it wouldn't have rushed the game and would've taken the time to polish it and add more to it. But hey 11.11.11. only happens once right?

Maybe that messed up the game? or couldn't be done? that's like saying your dad was supposed to drive you somewhere and the car breaks down so you don't believe anything he says.

"We don't want to take the time to fix it."

Was their reason.

When you are saying things like "I am now playing the game of the century," you're showing the opposite side of the spectrum that you mentioned.

Instead of taking things logically, you're adding your own emotional, and subjective, rose colored glasses to this.

Would this DLC be cool? Yeah. Does it mean we're going to get it just because they showed it? Nope. We get what they choose to give us.

You can be as happy as you want, no sane rational person will say you shouldn't be but refrain from pigeon-holding those who don't share your enthusiasm thank you. them doing it in a week is a testament stomping those notions about how they don't have time, and as far as I'm concerned I was right all along.

its not that they are lazy, its not that they couldn't do it. its just they didn't do it. but of course Marriage right?

theres nothing entitling -anyone- outside Beth that any of those things shown will be DLC, nothing. they were awesome and the general fact that they HAVE moments like that is awesome where they can do as they please, that alone is applaude worthy. but I find the very basis of this thread, telling people to no complain because of a Vid, In of which Todd Said will it be dlc? we don't know, Free? we don't know -WE Don't know-

so thanks.

Everyone worked by themselves for one week. it didn't have to be perfect. it just had to be in the game.

Wow, what's it like to have low standards? If it took them a week to make all that.. imagine how fast they could make a UI that's not god awful?

The greatest game ever made wouldn't have such bad combat, broken level scaling, thin guild quests, lack of politics, mediocre main quest, bad dialogue options, or repetetive linear dungeons.

If we do, cool.

Personally I'd rather they re~balance the game than give us DLC.

if the dlc "rebalances" things, it would be too much of an obvious screwup.

If all the whingers got everything they wanted in Skyrim, the game would be totally ruined.
