For a project for my friend I need to be able to translate basically 'Traditional river tours of the colleges' as a headline into Mandarin and/or Cantonese. I am aware that there are both traditional and simplified characters, and I need which ever is the most commonly used in mainland china (or both if they are used all over). If words like 'traditional' are hard to translate or lose their meanings in Chinese, the essence must essentially be 'River tours of the colleges' (as in universities), and communicated as a headline for a tourists day out. Any help is much appreciated!!

(P.S. I really need it to be as literate as possible, hence why I am wary of google translate.)

What I would do is use a translator as a basis, and then compare the results to other translators/anyone you find who speaks Chinese

Certainly someone involved in this project is expected to know Chinese...
