Yes, and you can cure it again as well. I get it cured sometimes when I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of feeding on my follower all the time.

Yeah you can. If not a lot of time has passed you can just go to a shrine and prey at it, that will cure you but only if it was a recent bite.
