Is it possible for Colette Marence of the Winterhold College to die during a Dragon attack before she gives you the Restoration Ritual quest? I have been searching for her now for three days in game, to get training for my Rest and she is nowhere to be found !

According to UESP, she is essential.

I have a feeling that's not right... she didn't even show up during the "Containment" part of the Mage's questline. Everyone else was there.

Why don't you save your game and then try to kill her? If she dies, or doesn't and turns on you, reload.

And there, problem solved.

The problem is he cant find her. OP, if youre on PC you can use the console command to bring her to you.

You cannot kill that which has no life.

Go to the second level of the Hall of Countenance, im not entirely sure which is her room but thats one of her spots (the arcaneum is another). Just stay there and use the wait function......try waiting till around 10 (alot of npc's should be heading to bed or their rooms around this time) and hopefully she pops up.

This is where I always find her, using the exact same method. She still won't sell the Master Circle spell to me, though.

Yeah tried that by reloading and doing it again. Got multiple "Completed" messages but still no spell. Thanks though.

Darn, well as long as you have mastered the requred tree, im not sure what the problem would be. Hopefully somehow it works itself out with a future patch.

I just had the same issue.. Not 5 min ago. She didnt have the "guardian circle" spell. I read on uesp that after you pass the test you should click a bunch of times on the augur.. Well i had already passed the test... So what i did was:

I exited the game. Im on xbox, so i went back to the dashboard. This is my own trick to reload a merchants inventory and funds.. I dont like to wait, so this works wonders. Save in front of a merchant, then exit, the load the save, check inventory for things i want, sell my crap, save, repeat. Anyway... Ill continue. After exiting and reloading, i went to the augur, clicked about 12 times went to colette, and she had the spell.

Thanks for the tips guys. I finally found her, coming back to the college from a trip [from who-knows-where]. She spends all day in bed now it seems, but she will still train me.

She has a tendency to wander around below the bridge at the main college entrance, for a future reference to everyone. Haven't got the foggiest idea WHY she does...<.< but she does.
