Because they're weird individuals who tie their self worth to a "machine". Instead of be snobby about some actual accomplishments.
That, and they're just kids who actually were console gamers for a long time, and now gaming on a pc is some unique experience to them - so they snub their noses at who THEY used to be. When the fact is, half of us console gamers are in our 30s and 40s and have gamed on PCs for twice as long. We just don't feel like playing on a PC all the time.
That all said, I don't think consoles need this either.
That's not it at all, really.
Just because you use a PC, you're weird? Really, dude? How is that comment making you better then the people you're talking about?
Please explain what'cha mean by "tying self-worth to a machine". I just plain out don't understand what you're saying in the next sentence either.
And actually, the only game console I've owned before starting using a PC is a N64 (way back) and a Gamecube. I got a PC, then got the newer consoles (Box, Wii, etc)
And next time, use less "grouping" words. (them they etc), because making generalizations like that is just not smart. While I do agree that some people are being a little to in-your-face about PC supposedly being superior, please don't group us all into one big group.
All I have to say on the matter.
