Can't craft arrows?

Post » Fri Jun 01, 2012 3:11 pm

The smithing skill is used to make a multitude of different armor, bows, maces, axes, etc. Even though you can make different kinds of bows.. you cannot make arrows. it would make sense that you could.. you can find many many different kinds of arrows during the game.. and buying arrows when you need them.. is very very very expensive. Plus the fact that people who sell them only have 60.. sometimes just one of a certain kind of arrow.. i havent played oblivion.. or any of the other elder scroll games.. so i could be posting this for nothing.. but i dont think it would be a hard thing to do.. chop wood for the shaft of it.. obviously use the kind of metal for the tips.. and maybe cotton or another item like it for the feathers on the arrow..

Too many ended up in guard knees so fletching is now a licensed profession only authorizable by the local Jarl.

If you are on the PC a guy made a mod called Arrowsmith. It adds a crafting system for them.

Bows don't kill people, arrows do.

There are mods on PC for making them.

Every guard in the entire game, used to be an adventurer just like the character we play, until they all took an arrow to the knee.

His comment was a joke, if you still don't get it ha.

Arrows require feathers, and the best source of feathers is from hawks. The only way to kill hawks is with...arrows.

Hag raven feathers could have probably been added to the recipe, but you don't run into hag ravens all that often, so you would still be better off just looting or buying your arrows.

They need to add it to the game via hotfix or DLC.

A cool thing they could add with it are Arrow enchantments, where when making a set of arrows, you can enchant them.

buuuttttt if they made it a DLC they would make it easier to obtain feathers... or be able to buy them in large bulk..

hotfix as in.. update?

"A hotfix was originally the term applied to software patches that were applied to live i.e. still running systems. Similar use of the terms can be seen in hot swappable disk drives. The more recent usage of the term is likely due to software vendors wanting to either avoid the term patch or give the impression that they were proactively servicing their product."
