I can't decide

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 9:37 am

Hey Guys

So I have a question regarding the dlc:

I have 2 characters, an imperial soldier and a stormcloak nord (son of Ulfric), they will both be maxed out characters (81.5):

- pro's:

Now the nord is my main character and I'm really tempted to let him become a vampire (lord). I really like it that the townspeople will not attack a vampire anymore when they are in normal vampire condition. Another positive factor is that you can choose how long you would become a vampire lord.

-The downsides:

I'm mostly a guy that likes to be on the good side

I don't like that they vampires suffer from the sun when he is outside. However the vampires may have the solution for this by blocking the sun out, I don't hope that Skyrim would become a dark area.

Although my Imperial is good at this moment, I don't really now what to do with him. The most important question is what I should do with my main Nord, I'm leaning towards the vampires however my final decision will be affected by your opinions.

Thx in advance

EDIT:
SO I'VE FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!

My Nord will be a vampire, because even though he doesn't really want to be evil, he can use all the power he can get for his upcoming fight against the Thalmor.

I hate to break it to you, but i you max out your characters to 81 before getting dawnguard.... you will be very dissapointed.

I suggest going into dawnguard at level 40 at the very most.

Without much insight, imperial is the better vampire fit imo. Nord always have this honor thing around them.

If you want to be good, join DG. VAmpires don't seem to have any moral ambiguity, they just seem to wanna destroy the world

Not neccesarily, these new perk trees seem to be bonuses for doing things in certain ways rather than level-up perks...
and its apparantly not for Low Levels, and considerng alot of people complain its to easy when you hit about level 40 they probably made this DLC to improve the higher levels

Or maybe they just figured most people playing dawnguard will be people who have high level characters already and will be using those instead of making new chars

Don't tell that some of the forum users. They will tell you you HAVE to start new chars over and over and over again to be worthy trying out all things new.

Lol, suit yourselves.

I predict a stream of "but the vampire lord was too easy to kill! my level 65 character killed him in one swing!"

Well yes true... but thats when they release the next DLC... or simply say "screw you, we tried but you guys keep complaining our next patch reduces all player health to 1, now lets see how fun it is"

I seriously hope! Im 60 on my assassin right now and I dont want dawnguard to be a cakewalk. Just incase, I'm going to be playing on expert though just for the fun of it.

And Nopenskye, about your goodie vampire character I might suggest getting your speechcraft up. If you do indeed plan to join dg as a vampire then you may most likely have to persuade them to show that you are good.

Normally I go as a imperial because in my opinion they look cooler and you have more armor.
But being a Stormclock is cool because of the name and i think its a bit longer questline..... It's a matter of opinion which one you like more, i always stick with Imperials so yeah
just pick one at random :)
