So, after waiting patiently for a convenient time when I don't have loads of work to play Skyrim, I finally get the game yesterday. Start playing it today for the first time, install it to the PS3, etc. Up comes Bethesda Game Studio's logo *cue much excitement* and then the load screen freezes. I've tried cleaning the disk, making sure updates are installed and all sorts. Google and forum searches don't lead to much, any advice?

I don't own the game because I refuse to support a company that will sell you a game full of glitches. Try deleting the skyrim data from the "game data utility" in the game tab. Might want to delet the patch and game data both. Then reinstall, but watch the hdd light on the front of your ps3 and wait for it to stop blinking before you try and play. Good luck, and remember this before you buy anything by bethesda again.
