Can Fire Enchanter or other increase damage output?

Post » Tue Jun 05, 2012 3:01 am

I did a few searches and I could tell if these only reduce magik cost and/or increase resistance? Is there any enchanments that can actually increase damage other than perks in the destruction constellation?

Well, I am not sure if you are overlooking enchanting weapons or if I am misunderstanding you. You can enchant weapons with fire, frost, or shock damage, and your damage output is increased. Enchantments to clothing appear directed towards protection or cost reduction.

Yep,there are some enchanting skill that increase destruction.if you maximize the enchanting Tree you can literraly create robes that increase the damage by 64%(i tested). If you abuse alchemy you can create god like items that increase destruction power above 600%.Booth in regeneration and damage.

You can also spec into Alchemy, Enchanting, and Smithing and then take potions to increase smithing and alchemy and create weapons and armor and enchant them all and make everything have a really high base damage. You can then take potions to increase the base damage as well. If you want to do this, do a search on it (as I don't feel ike typing it all out lol). But I checked and you can have pretty much all the perks you need to do so at around lvl 25ish.

I actually will not do this since it makes everything VERY OP. You can make bows that do over 4K base damage and such.

You didn't test anything. The enchant to fortify destruction lowers cost, it does not increase damage. Increase damage is in alchemy.

I have one character with a bow that adds 24 stamina damage, and there are other damage enchants as well. You have to disenchant a piece of equipment to learn a new spell, and they won't be as high in the beginning, unless you power-leveled enchanting, or use potions. The higher the gem you use with an enchant, the higher the damage percentage I think.

Good luck.

There isn't.

But elemental damage from enchanted items (weapons/staves) can be magnified by:
fortify destruction potions
destruction perks
destruction skill
enchanting perks

There is a mod that switches the magic skill fortify enchantments from magicka reduction to efficiency increase, it's pretty much a must have if you don't think magic should have no cost and do minuscule amounts of damage.

skill in destruction only reduces cost.
and enchanting perks only apply for items you enchant. -> only weapons.

There is one enchanting perk, insightful enchanter, that applies to fortifies on clothing.

This is a good reference thread on the subject:
