Can't follow invites

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:36 am

Me and some buddys preordered the game. When we wanted to join each other in the game first time, we can't! I did send them invites but they couldn't join me -.- When we tried today and i did send them invites again Steam said one more time that the server does not response...When they invite me and I try to join them the same problem occurres. But i can join official servers and my internet settings are correcty setted...

Same here brother... been trying to host a game from home and have my compadre's join in, but not feelin the love if you know what I mean. Did the invite- port forwarding my router- had them direct connect via my IP addy- still I get "DENIED" I'm guessing it's just not ready for prime time at this point. As for a LAN game- no problem, works great- I'm sure they'll get around to fixing this problem eventually, hopefully sooner then later...

Well from the two posts so far I'd assume you did this, but did you check the firewall settings on your computer itself? I know some routers have firewalls also.

As far as the original post goes, have you and your friends been able to join the same server found through the server browser? I know you're goal is to play together with them for your first play through, but if there are servers you can connect to that they can't then or vice versa there could be more to the issue. Like ISP or something.

I've had this issue on consoles before and I know it can be really frustrating. I hope you figure out the issue.

Yes we have joined the same server game- but we'd rather play a private match- we fired up black ops and I hosted, my buds jumped in via the friends invite and we were off, shouldn't it be the same with Brink? no checking firewalls- ports- I'm sure it will happen... give it some time

Could a dev of the Splah damage team take a look at this problem, please? And yes, I checked my firewall settings (and my router hasn't a own firewall) - Brink is free for private and public networks. But thanks for trying help us though..By the way, maybe it helps to help: We can play online together with a simulated lan network, via Hamachi. But only with Hamachi. We already tried to play together via lan without Hamachi started and we couldn't find each other's server in the lan filter list, too...Borderlands worked anyway! >.<

Sorry for double post but this problem is really annoying! Can anyone help me soon so that I don't have to wait til Brink 2 is released?
