Can't get past the title screen - please help

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 12:17 pm

Every time I start the game, I get a message saying that "A corruption was detected and Brink is unable to continue loading. Please restart Brink and download the game add-on pack again." Is my disk messed up or something? I don't even have any of the pre-order bonuses so I don't know what the add-on pack it's talking about is. I tried clearing the cache and downloading the patch again, but I still get the same message. Please reply if you have any ideas or have encountered this, thanks.

Try installing the game if you're having this issue, it works fine for me after installing. I think it may have been a result of being in that new 360 disc format beta... did you two do that as well?

As for the new xbox disc beta, I have no clue what your talking about.

so after checking the Xbox support, which my iPhone cant access. It asks for a user name and pw? huh?

There is a step by step trouble shoot for freezing issues. Started the process and found out that it's my HD. It's corrupted and need replacing. So if your game keeps freezing or disc errors try playing the game with the HD removed. If it works then guess what, time for a new HD. Contact Xbox Support they might be able to replace it.

Thanks for the reply. Yea I removed BRINK form my HD and it runs but still have trouble with the "content corrupt" at times. Will this be addressed in the "urgent" patch update you think? Not sure why I get the error but it seems to only occur when I do freeplay objective when the levels are loading. I played competitive 5 v5 and it seems to run better, hope the patch cleans up these messes cause there is a very good game under the mess of tech issues.

PS BRINK is the only game the gives me the "can't read disk error" probably a coincident cause I have a 2x refurb 360 that has been running well for 2 years so right about now would be perfect for it to take a crap lol.

Had same prob. find download history on your xbox (not sure how to direct you there) and re download the add on. That seemed to work for me. Strange that while deleting the down load and clearing the cache doesn't help.

I don't think you can play Brink w/o the H/D (I tried) you need to sign into your profile. I was going to copy my profile to a card but only had the option of moving it and don't want to take any chances w/ that right now.
