Bethesda devs won't post any information, Bethesda likes to take a hands off aproach when it comes to comunicating with their customer base.
At best they might make a PR statement to some big game site, or if we are really lucky a generic sticky of "we are working on it" might appear, but for a dev to actually make a statement in a users thread.... not going to happen !
This was exactly the same thing that happned to borderlands. The forum on their website was also a "oh we don't respond to you" kind of policy. but they kept getting so many people posting threads with exactly the same kind of thing as here (actually it seemed it was way worse with borderlands) that they eventually changed that or at least got their act together and started to post propper threads with details of and when their patches where going to be released. It reflects badly on any game company that refuses to do this in this day and age of social media etc.
It seems to me that it will take along time for all the bugs to be fixed.
I run a 5970 and amd 1080t 6 core cpu that is struggling even with the new 10.10c drivers from ati to cope with a few npc's.. I do not think that running with that hacked dx9 dll (even the ati optimized one that won't work with dual monitors) is a nice solution. If that is fixing the npc slow down by replacing gfx code then it points to me a deeper issue that the game devs need to look into.
My main issues are the lack of feed back from company representatives about current status of fixes or if they want people to do anything for them.. yes a dxdiag is a nice way to say "hi your drivers are broken" but not really a good way to deal with specifics.
For example my game is now crashing when I loot and try and add items to my inventory.. it's also random when it crashes this way.
Some of the game files have not been touched since 2008. The steam shipped direct x is not the most uptodate directx either. Little things like this all add up and point to a release that needs work.
Personally I still prefer wastelands over this game.. and fallout 3 so far seemed more fun.. The map seems a bit rushed? I can't really put my finger on it exactly..
but anyway.. back to the main topic of this thread..
