Can I just say ...

Post » Mon Feb 04, 2013 11:23 am

This is the first topin I have ever started here, but ... I just wantd to say that the dragon riding mechanic may have svcked in the DLC ... BUT -

The first time I ventured forth into Solstheim, observed Red Mountain belching out smoke and heard the lone cries of a Silt Strider in game ... man, it was just beautiful.

Bethesda got a LOT of things right in this DLC. The heart warming nostalgia of Morrowind was one of them.

Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories and I look forward to seeing more DLC.

I was happy when I heard the Morrowind music. I love that music.

Never played Morrowind. Or Oblivion. Or Daggerfell. Or Arena. So I'm afraid this nostalgia is not shared by me.

But I will not deny the beauty of the island and all the rich lore that it holds that flies over my head. I will also not doubt the svckage of Dragon Riding.

Has anyone ever tried to swim (or walk***) to Red Mountain from Solstheim? Obviously, you get stopped by the invisible wall--- but a detail that I really appreciated was the distant 'roar' of the volcano in the background. The closer you got, the louder it became... T'was a nice feature.

couldnt agree more. I love Morrowind. The got alot right with skyrim - it had that morrowind feeling too it - the freshness, the expanse, the strange... and now the new dlc is just... well its the cherry on top!

I actually posted a thread on swimming to Morrowind. I couldn't resist it either looking at the beautiful view of Red Mountain. Its a wonderful piece of DLC for a wonderful game.

When I'm at Raven Rock, especially shopping and buying out vendors, I seem to hear some kind of cool bouncy music.

However, what it most reminds me of is the original PC "The Sims" music that played when you were shopping for
stuff for your house ;) So it cracks me up.

You can actually hear it? o_o I tried to get to it but I don't recall hearing Red Mountain. Maybe I was trying at the wrong area?

Yeah, Fyrisi, where do you launch your swim to head to Red Mountain? I would like to try that. :)
