Can I do Labarynthian at level 14?

Post » Sun Jun 03, 2012 1:01 pm

I just finished Mzuflt at lvl 14 (started at 12) even though the Strategy Guide says the recommended level is 16. Had to lower the difficulty a few times, unfortunately.

Then straight away I'm ordered to Labarynthian, quickly!, and the SG says the recommeded level is 24!!

Should I just walk away for a month or get a follower and turn the difficulty aaalll the way down?

And WHY is there an eight level gap between two consecutive quests!!? :swear:

For me it's not really the level that count but how your armor rating is. If you are strong why not make a good save before entering and try. But take a lot of healing potions with you. You will really need them... Good luck

Mostly because of Morokei. The dang bones can strike with some fearsome lightning.

In perspective, I've got a Twin Souls perk, dual casted TWO Dremora Lords, and I cheated my level to 8 before I entered Labyrinthian. Oh, and I also dual casted Flames (the continuous magic) at him

One of my Dremora Lords died during the ordeal

No harm in giving the Labyrinthian a try.

And.. what quest is that?

The College quest to find the Staff of Magnus.

Thanks for the advice. Might need to wait on that a while until I can summon something besides a battleaxe and a wolf...

Come on, don't turn the difficulty down.

Doesn't that defeat the whole the point of leveling?

No, it gives a much better experience for those who wants to do it

After all, enemies kind of scale with you. The higher your level is, the more promotions given out by the Draugr god

yep. you can. armor is good, knowing your class and being able to play into your own strengths as a player is even more important. I did the whole mages' chain on medium difficulty with a mage who only had what she was able to find and pick up from her instructors to wear. She did it, and she suffered quite a bit in some fights.

hint/spoiler:
Spoiler
at the "gate" in Labrynthian do NOT open it right away, go to the door and
shoot the enemies through the door if you can before you go into the area,
they're not alone in the room. and pay close attention to what happens to your
character when the strange voice talks to you... this will continue to happen
even during the fight.

Hmm.... ok. Need to make some potions and some poisons and improve my brand new used Falmer bow... find Brylena... rummage through my closets.... but I'll give it a go.

And the ONLY time I lower difficulty is when I've exhausted every option and died about 7 times. It's really too bad that being hugely pissed off doesn't affect your stats.
