Any age as well (obviously only advlt NPCs are available for marriage, but they range from twenty-something to middle aged to elderly).

I don't see why not, same six marriages aren't an issue in medieval Skyrim. Hell, even Ulfric Stormcloak is more "progressive" than today's lot.

Play a Khajiit and you have no choice  .

Which is a pain for those opposed to bestiality or see a marriage between a human and an animal / reptile looking humanoid very unlikely.

This isn't a Walt Disney cartoon where the fair innocent maiden falls in love with a large hairy dog creature twice her size and no parent ever questions it :ermm:

If I remember correctly there isn't a Khajiit and Bosmer to marry. All else is up to you on what you want.

Yeah. I had a female PC that married that warrior woman from Riften. Woke up in Breezehome with Lydia and the warrior's little friend staring at us. Lydia, I think, did not approve, and the little guy told me put some clothes on. Hilarious.

(only real benefit to playing female*, really. Fallout and Oblivion had... assets that made playing female in third person more interesting.)
*does not apply to female players, obviously.

Well there is the speech perk allure, more male vendors. To me thief and mages are female and warriors male.

There are two Khajiit followers, but none of them available for marriage. Same with Bosmer.

Don't worry, the dialogue line won't show if she's not interested in you. At least, I think.

They don't have to be followers to marry them. My wife was a miner, she was always hot and sweaty.

Yes, but there are still no Khajiit or Bosmer spouses, follower or not. The list you mentioned must have been the list of followers, as two of them are Khajiit.

My first character, an Imperial woman, married Ysolda
My second, a male Nord, married Slygja
My third, a female Breton, married Muiri

The only thing is that they all have the same voice and dialogue.
Also, I cannot get them to change outfits. Slygja is expecially disappointing because she would look so much better in anything but the miners clothes.

Indeed. It's because in Skyrim, marriage is based on mutual respect and (gasp!) ...
Spoiler
love
But then this is just a fantasy world, after all.
