There is a guy named Ignus I have to make who is constantly engulfed in flames that do not damage him. Any ideas?

For the no damage, just make a copy of the flame effect and make it do no damage. As for it always being on him, I'm not sure.

I suppose I could give him a constant effect ability that wreaths him in flame.

of possibly if he's not going to be around for more than 5 minutes or so (it could get a bit old I think) you could use a timer for the zero damage spell effect.

Good luck.

may be impossible, but look at the flame effects on the Atronach and see if can copy past over in nifscope to your target. Would sorta depend on how creating your actor if workable .. but that gets you the non-damaging flames wreathing a body (maybe). I've played with it on other atronachs but not on other critters ... just an idea.

You want to.use a scripted magic effect for this. Find the skeleton necro race, and look at the spell on that race. Then look at the magic effect on that spell, and the script on that magic effect. You want to make an identical spell and magic effect with a new script that looks very similar. To make the script, simply paste the necro fx script in your new script, cut out everything in the event blocks except for the visual effect property for the black smoke, and cut the properties out too except this one. Then add this effect to a constant effect spell, and add the spell to your actor. Try setting the proprty to different fire related visual effects and see what happens.
