I didnt see this asked yet so i was wondering if we aren't vamps yet, will we get a choice to become vamp lords and bypass contracting sangiunare vampiris? I'm assuming becoming a lord also makes you a normal vamp so can we skip having to fight a vamp and get sick for 3 days or will we have to 1st be a vamp to get offered the vamp lord gift?

I'd like to be made a vamp by a lord if possible, not some lowly dungeon crawler that makes me sick

Go beg Molag Bal for the gift, maybe he's feeling generous or maybe he will do something with your behind that you won't enjoy. You can never be sure with Molag Bal.

Anyway you probably can become a vamp at some point in the quest, it seems likely that you won't have to go out and fight other vamps just to get the disease first... I wouldn't count on being the Lords of Vamps from day one of your disease however, that would be rather illogical.

Well I'm sure to become a Lord you get gifted by a Lord somehow, so even if you're already a cave-crawler vampire you still get made a Lord by another Lord, so you're not technically a cave-crawler anymore.

Having said that, I'm now thinking my vampire needs his blood examined. I can't remember what kind of lowlife gave my sanguinare vampiris to start with... *shudders*

ha thats my point exactly, i want to be turned by a pure blood vamp lord not some dirty lesser blood vamp who was in his cave svcking on skeevers all day long before i came along.

I've heard you can be turned from werewolf to vamp lord but i wonder if thats just wishful thinking turned into online rumors

I got mine from a Breton Master Vampire, so I reckon that's not so bad.

That being said they are remodelling the normal vampires to fit with the new direction for them. Make them less useless and all that. Probably justified in the lore as a new strain or something. One that overrides all other current afflictions, which would fit with the removal of lycanthropy.

if your human, you will most likely be made a normal vampire as well as a lord
