Now I just received New Vegas as a gift for the PS3. I am now level 3 but the glitches have gotten to the point where I can not play the game anymore. When I first entered Primm and went in the Rollercoaster Hotel, I saw a convict, entered VATS like usual. Saw that my percentages were low, and he has not seen me yet so I went to exit vats. Can't do it. I press 'O' to exit and the game does not exit VATS. So I think whatever, "I'll just take a chance and shoot" and I tap 'R1' the game registered 2 presses instead of just the one but I pressed 'X' anyways. This didn't affect me again until south of Primm going down the highway I saw convicts by a highway sign, so I go to what I think to be a reasonable distance and pull out some Dynomite and enter VATS. 0% chance of hitting either of them. But I can't exit. When 'R1' quickly pressed, the game will act as though I pressed it 100 times per second (the sound file that plays when you attempt to shoot something with 0% chance).
So from the sounds of it, the controller is acting up. so I shut the controller off, leave it off for a couple a minutes and turn it back on, still can't exit VATS or do anything. The only way to fix this issue is to turn off the PS3 system and reload the save.
Bethesda, if you think that is the appropriate fix, you guys DO NOT know how to make Video games. I will agree, The concept behind New Vegas is great and all, the graphics are great, But if you want to claim to be a Game Developer. Learn to work out glitches BEFORE you release a game. Don't think you have to meet a deadline for the fans to want to play the game. Trust me, us gamers would rather wait for all the kinks to be out of the game then to play a glitched up piece like this. If the game worked the first time, you guys wouldn't have to rush patches and work harder to fix the glitches you neglected to take of before releasing the game.
