Watcha. Decided to give this game another go, but I've found I can't get past the newspaper offices (after you investigate the First National grocery store). I open the door with the hung woman in and I can't walk, jump or crouch (I can, however lean).

Aha, cheers. What actually happens (it's years since I was there last)? Is it just that there's a dead woman, or is there more to it than that?

yep 'the noosed broad bought it', probably one of the most funny and questionable bits of dialogue in the game you get some ammo, and the plot develops, in terms of learning about what transpired with the people who resisted the Oath of Dagon, you are supposed to get a newspaper in the development room, and learn about bolts mechanic on doors, which will be critical in the escape from Innsmouth section to come.
