Can Ps3 players only have one character?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 5:12 pm

a buddy of mines brother just got a ps3 with skyrim. He told me his bro wont let him play because he can only have one save file. Is he just lying and being a jerk, or is he for real? ive goolgled it and found SOME people with the same problem, but they are posts from like 2 months ago, and very sporadic. So yeah, can anyone give me a real confirmation of this? Multiple characters possible now on ps3 or no?

You have three autosaves that overwrite eachother, one quicksave (PC only) and as many manual saves as you want.

Some have reported that if you start a new game on the PS3, it can overwrite the saves that previously existed. I don't know if that is true or not. However, people who start a new game by loading at the first Autosave in the Tutorial to start a new character don't have this issue. Even then, it is easy to inadvertently overwrite a file on a different character.

However, the easiest way to make sure this does not happen is to play each character under a different PS3 Profile. Then, the saves are kept separate.

He is not lying if he doesn't know how to do it.. But it's very much possible to have many characters on the same PS3. Just create a new user and there's no chance of you overwriting other characters save files either. As CCNA said, the saves will be kept separate and you can thus have many skyrim characters on the same PS3.

I don′t know about the game on PS3,but on PC I can save manual in as many files I want.
If this is the same on PS3,you can have as many character as you want.
Just save and load manually.
