Can't reach level 20 plus after level 70?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 10:36 pm

So I got skyrim the day it came out, loved it!, couldnt stop playing for three months. After that i was a level 72 with over 125 hours played. I didnt play for about a month and decided to make a new character. I was having so much fun up till about level 25, i just got bored, had no want to keep playing. Am i playing skyrim wrong where it is only good for one playthrough? i even try different character setups, but it does nothing! Has this happened to anyone else???

Play something else until it calls to you.I've been playing since it came out and I'm getting a little bored.Lately FO3 has been calling to me.I'm trying to finish but I don't know if I'll make it but I definitely will come back and play again.

Quit focusing on levels and just play the game. The levels will take care of themselves. Plus, there is more of challenge and it's more fun if you level along with the game.

you sound like you might benefit from creating an all-purpose hybrid. i know it stopped me from putting skyrim back in its case due to boredom.

with the right perks you can create a powerful character that will allow you to play any style and combo you feel like during EVERY battle or gaming session.

How do you play for over 200 hours!!! Ya i boosted some skills, but that was because i ran out of places to go, I have 346 locations, are there anymore? I cleared all dungeons and caves unless they glitched on me, I think 200 dungeons cleared? And i have no one else to talk to, to quest with. So 217 hours, hard to think there is that much in the game.

The next caracter ill make wont fast travel , will chop wood & hunt for living . You just have to roleplay your caracter an i think you can play more than 200 hour. Don't boost it ruin the fun of having upgraded armor & weapon

I grew bored with my melee character after a few hundred hours and gave the game a rest to play other ones. I came back to skyrim and a couple of days ago made a new char - a pure mage who wears only robes and uses all the spells (i really dig the rune spells!). To make the game more interesting, I play only in first person instead of 3rd - which I always did before, I turned the hud right down and wow it`s a lot harder judging where to fire my spells, knowing if my health is near run out and not using the compass... but the immersion is so much better without the hud on a big TV screen

I also don`t fast travel unless it`s urgent.

All this has made the game so much more fun! Really enjoying it much more...

Yes this is very common feeling about it. Anyway I have made several characters after the first one and some of them I have played less and some I have played more. The secret to find the fun of the game is to build new kind of character and play in a new way. Try different styles, go to places where you haven't been do new quests or don't do quests at all, turn HUD off, don't use map, try to play without entering any of cities, play less Skyrim in a day, play in faction you haven't played yet, don't try to max everything, you aren't forced to look under every rock in a dungeon and aren't forced to loot every corpse. These are some of the things that have affected on my later characters and have made me to get my interest back in the game. One good thing also is to have a break from gaming to have more time for modding and then return to play again.

^This. I'm been 50 for a few weeks now.. and unless Veronica can't be loaded anymore, she's the only character I will use.
