Can't See the Color of your Character's Eyes when Creating H

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 12:59 pm

Hey all, here's a great thread posted by charon78au on Gamefaqs.com. If your like me and play on a sdtv and can't see your character's eye colors, then visit here >>http://m.gamefaqs.com/boards/615803-the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim/61840169

Charon98au took his/her time to create a guide to how many clicks it takes to get the eye color you want, for every race. I find that very kind. Anyways, since I'm sure I'm not the only one who would like to know this, I have posted the link to the original gamefaqs thread.

I hope the mods don't mind that it leads to another website. I could copy/paste here but then credit wouldn't technically be given to the real OP. Anyways, here you go. Enjoy.

I wished creating your character was much easier. Instead you get a svcky camera placement with bad lighting and zoom. I hope Bethesda decides to fix this.

Heck, making people in the fallouts were easier XD

Plus, you could actually morph some all features like noses and eyes, skyrim doesn't let you morph all, only choose presets like mouths and eyes. But at least that isn't a problem, just depends on your preference.

Most likely in future dlc you will be able to change how your character looks (sorta like Old world blues dlc for fallout nv) and edit hair color, facial hair, and hair at npc barbers or at your player house. One can only hope.

I think they're trying to improve, but it comes at great effort to them or something. They think more about their own world, and give that much character.. but they don't consider much how many actually want to put time into their own characters too.

I feel you on this one. I do play on a decent TV....though I couldn't see the eye color at all. So my first created character (see avatar) ended up with pure black. It was my protest to not being able to see it. Figured that and the red and I can pretend he's a lost rock star or something :P

I always just set my FOV to 40 when I make a character.

Yeah well, you own a pc capable of playing skyrim. This is just a solution for console players who don't have the choice of using the console. I'm speaking in riddles XD.

If we could set our fov, that would be great.

Yeah, I get this too. Doesn't matter how close you are to the tv it's too much of a pain trying to see what eye colour you're choosing. Though it's not like it's the only RPG to pull the bad camera angle and strange lighting. Mass Effect 2 does this (and now ME3 does too) with it's strange 'moody' lighting. Though Mass Effect's saving grace here is that it allows you to tilt Shepard's head up, down, left and right to get a (slightly) better view.

Personally, I had no trouble making my character in the mass effect 3 demo. I prefer it's "head on" camera than skyrims. But yeah, that dark color is noticeable, but I dont mind. Heck, at least you can see your eyes!
