Title saids it all.

Such as do you level up as a character? You know.. like fallout, and get perks etc.

Or is it more of leveling up a type of gun, such as heavy guns, pistols. Such as if I use heavy weapons 90% of the time, My heavy weapon level will be sky high but my other type of weapons will be low.

Trying to decide between this game and dead island, I like dead islands skill tree system. But I can't find anything on the level up system for this game. :/

I'm not far into the game yet, but you do have to pick a character type of sorts, which it does mention can not be undone. It's plan to see by the possible choices, that they are the root of the skill you want to pursue. Seems there was five of them or so.

Ah.. Okay. So there isn't anything like skill points or perks and stuff along those lines?

Theres no levelling up or skill points. Its not an rpg.

There is no level system seeing as this is primarily a shooter. You can however upgrade your armor and weapons.

Ohhhh. Ouch, Thats a turn off :/

Upgrade with invested points? Or money?
