Can someone please add a plastic surgeon

Post » Thu Mar 03, 2011 4:14 am

long story short i have a maxed out characters with good perks and stats but she sorta looks like a fish, i've looked around and i was sad when i found out there wasn't a plastic surgeon or a way to change your characters appearance. Being a console user the only option i have is making a new character which i really don't want to do. I really hope that someone who can make this possible reads this.

The only way they could do this is if they added it into a DLC, which could be really cool, so put this in the DLC suggestion thread in the DLC forums.

Mhm. Although personally I found a lack of a hair stylist or paying someone like the King's stylist for a haircut a bit omitting. Would of liked it, especially for my first playthrough where I wanted a hairstyle change as a reflection of the change of the character to that point. They could still add a plastic surgeon/hairstylist through a DLC, yes. They could however let existing stylists like the King's be paid for a haircut through a patch though. Unless this is already possible. I saved my favor from the King but I assume all the hair stylist does is automatically give you the Elvis-esque haircut. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Nah. Your topic didn't have much to do about DLC in the first place. But the answer to your question most likely comes in the form of it unless they want to release a free pack that adds surgeons or, for my interests, someone to cut your hair. That's the only alternative to either a Patch or DLC. Your topics fine though so no worries. All the topics in this forum titled DLC and asking about it should be moved though.

Ha. My mistake. I thought he asked if he -Had- to move the topic or remake it. My bad. Kind of tough to read all this and type on a touchscreen.

just for the information he gives you any haircut, but yeah its a shame theres no face makers or other barbers. Kinda missed showing that a guy changes his look to show change in his lifestyle. A guys gonna grow a beard if he doesn't shave, and becomes "the beard of justice"

Yeah I was annoyed by the lack of a surgeon. My first character's face was ok, but when wearing a recruit helmet his foreheard kind of clipped through which was extremely annoying.

There should be a skill check for the surgeon once the player finalizes the changes ~to see if there are complications, and/ or they botch the job ~with permanent results.

If you are on the PC, you should be able to bring up the Char Gen screens and change your character. However in the past, this can hose your character, so make sure you work off of a forked save.

In Fallout 3, the two commands were

showbarbermenu

and

showracemenu

However the Race Menu will cause you to lose your Perks and possibly your skills and attributes. The Barber menu seems to be safer, but I don't know if you can change everything, or just hair.

Not all bad changes from these menus will show up until you save and reload the save, so please, work off of a forked save so that you can go back to your original save file if needed.
