Can Someone PLEASE describe the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. ?

I need to know how each stat affects your character! I keep hearing different things about these stats and I don't know what's what. Please help! Thanks

It's a bit intricate...what each SPECIAL stat affects. You could start here: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_SPECIAL

One example: Charisma affects Companion Nerve.

I'm still learning. :)
