Hello here !

I am having a very annoying bug in Skyrim, specifically in the Thieves Guild. Indeed, it's impossible to talk to Devin Vex or to get the reputation jobs quests. They tell me all the time I need to be a full member but I just finished the last main quest for the guild. (Darkness Returns)

I've had several bugs, such as during the quest: Lound and Clear there is the possibility to talk with VEX. When I speak to her, there is no interaction and she said to me to look elsewhere. I do not understand why I can not talk to him when it is clearly stated in the description of the quest. Moreover, once the quest is complete, VEX is always "unavailable".

Another problem also with respect to the armor of the Guild. After the integration within the family, Brynjolf asked me to go Tonilia to recover the armor of the Guild but when I go see her, she offers me nothing at all and in the window of sale. I had to get the armor via the command "player.additem".

Futhermore, I had the quest No Stone Unturned and the step Become a full mumber is still unchecked whereas I fisnished the Thieves guild storyline.


So how do you unlock the quests for Vex or Devin ? With a command console or something else ? Try with no mods ?

I'd start dropping mods until I found the one causing the trouble.

haven't seen that bug yet.. but what happenes when you talk to the other thief guil members?
and the main quest line is only completed when you return the skeleton key, not when you hold on to it.

about Brynjolf asking you to get armor.. she doesn't sell it, you just have to talk to her and he will give it,
and she will give you a choise in wich piece to upgrade for you.

for becomming a full member ( the achievement) you have to restore the guild to its former glory.

but i would check every quests you have, even the misc ones. maby you just missed a small piece.

if you still have a quest from either Vex or Delvin they sometimes bug and tell you they have nothing instead of offering you encouragement in the form of Vex's "Get your lazy butt out there" or Delvin's "having trouble? Come sit with uncle Delvin and tell me all about it" approaches.

Tonilla doesn't sell you your armor, it should open a conversation where you can prompt her for it and she starts a dialog about how you can only upgrade one piece.

What I've found for bugs and glitches is that they all seem tied to doing something out of order... I'd suggest that you go through your quest list and make sure you don't still have something open that you forgot about for any member of the thieves guild, even if it means you have to pull up a browser window and search the information in your miscellaneous quests to make sure none of them are involved.

sorry, is all I can think of.

I waited 4 days mayd for reset something but nothing.
I removed all the mods, but is still the same.
I had a quest with Vex (Isabella) but after I finisged it, nothing change.
I wear my thieve guild amor but no change.


Nothing. I finished the queste Darkness Return, mean i put back the skeleton key. When I came back to the guild, Brynjolf just say something good.
I remember this time, but I'm pretty sure Tonilia didn't give me the armor or conversations about this with her.

I checked everything, all tasks are fully completed.

I have no quests related to them. Only No Stone Unturned with Vex.


I reall lost, I don't know what can I do to fix it.

I'm having the same exact issue. Tonila, Vex, and Delvin will not talk to me with the exception being Tonila's store option. As far as I know I can't use her as a fence. I think it all started after the first quest when Tonila wouldn't give me the first set of armor. I've done everything up to what you've done and I can't progress any further. I've tried several console commands to undo and complete the quests I've already done, but nothing seems to work so far. It'd be great if someone had some work arounds.
