Have any other Preferences options been added?

Just wondering.

Nope, not for console users anyway.

However, if you play on PC I'm certain there are mods that can assist you on those terms.

If you are on PC, you can turn of the compass in SkyrimPrefs.ini

Change "bShowCompass=1" to "bShowCompass=0"

Haven't used the compass since last November and it certainly seems to enhance the exploration aspect of the gameplay, as you need to pay closer attention to identify natural landmarks in the terrain, etc.

For PC I'm sure it is possible to mod. On console, you're out of luck, sadly.

1: Nope: The only way to turn off health regen without any mods and what not. Is by being a Vampite and going out in the sun.

2:
To turn off the compass you just adjust the setting in your .ini file, as described above. I learned how to do that soon after the game's release, before there were any mods at all.

That of course turns the compass off completely. I've used the http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/912 utility to set it to only show N,W,S,E like a real compass, instead of the GPS/radar it's in the default game, while still seeing quest markers on the map. That i've changed to look like a paper one instead of Google Nirn :P

I don't think you can don't off health regen with the prefs ini file, can you? For that, i think you have to use a mod.

A console command can do that, but i forgot which one. "Set player.something to 0" IIRC.

Edit: "set player.HealRateMult to 0"? No, that does nothing. I remember doing it, but not how i did it

Edit 2: "player.setav healrate 0"
