Cannot Install The G.E.C.K. - Is This A Steam Issue?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 7:35 pm

Hey all, I am attempting to install the GECK and I am receiving the following error message:

The program cant start because libvorbisfile.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.

Now, this error message arises instantly when I run the installer. I do not have any option to change the installation location or the like. I received F:NV directly from Steam.

EDIT: Nevermind, got it! :)

Just for others that also make the same mistake.

The download is not an installer, those files are the Geck Itself.

Exsact them to
...\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas
and then run it.

And your reply will be the "exact" same.
Extract your GECK to your valve/steam/steamapps/common/fallout new vegas
Folder and then click the .exe, will run fine.

Where, and how do you find this steam file to extract the G.E.C.K. to? ...\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas

If on windows click the windows key, then click on computer, next click on the hard disc you use. After this click on program files and it's in there.

If using the 64 bit of windows 7 it'll be program files (x86)
