basically i was aware the save issue was happening and i cleared out all my building up saves, especial cause i was sharing with 3 other people.

well i made a backup save and ran off to kill some Khans but i died and when i tried to load the auto save i crashed so i used the backup *which is pretty much the same save* and i crashed agian.

basically I'm a busy college student i don't have the time or will to start over. i tried the fixes listed in other topics but it didn't work. so i have posed my loads up below maybe one of you mod-ers or moderators can fix it, see if they work for you or if you can fix them and send them back. Otherwise i will unfortunately put pressure on Bethesda soft to refund my game, (don't get me wrong i love the game but not enough to deal with this.)

Question, but have you been using any cheats/script commands to rez dead npcs? Because there's a lot of 'bunk' data in those saves.

I am a university student and guess what my game got corrupted at 32 hours. after that incident i stopped using autosaves and disabled them and stopped quick saves also. Manually saving every 30 minutes or 20 minutes is the best way to avoid major corruption bugs. Also disable steam cloud and steam community for New vegas. Thats all i can recommend btw save corruption has been confirmed to happen on x360 aswell so its not a pc only bug...

i have not been using ANY script commands, at least the first time and maybe second time through i don't try to screw with the codes and stuff. cause i want to explore the game normally. cause i know if i start messing with it i wont be able to stop and it will be cheating and ill lose interest.

well if you notice, i exited novac, and saved right after the auto save. i always save coming out of novac cause thats were i drop my stuff off and i figure ill make a note to always save there if the auto save fails. i was aware of this happening. BOTH the autosave the autosave bak AND my backup save are corrupted. I'm not using steam to be honest, i hate steam they have a great idea that i don't agree with and their software a lown causes me grief with multilayer saves and other B.S.


i think ill give it a week then ask for a refund, and play borderlands or something.

Well I looked through the saves, they're simply corrupted(they have ~2mb of pended crap data). The rule of thumb for any game is save often, in different slots.
