Cant start new game without hard crash. This didnt happen ba

December was the last time i played Skyrim since that was my winter break. Now that its spring break im trying to start a new skyrim playthrough but now I cant even make it to Helgen (the wagon scene) without crashing, and the entire PC crashed requiring a reboot, not a CTD.

I uninstalled Skyrim, wiped all my mods and my saves. And reinstalled Skyrim clean, i still get the same problem. Was there some new stupid update Beth released thats causing this?

No there were no updates that I am aware of which had this effect. You've reinstalled the game — okay that's what I would do. But what about your INI files — they remain after an uninstall/reinstall. Remove the INIs to force the game to make new ones.

If there is still a problem, it might be the hardware config. Pls post your hardware specs and dxdiag.

Something helpful for BSoDs:- Download and run 'Blue Screen View'. It'll tell you which driver caused the crash.

I dont see why hardware would be the problem, remember i played this game flawlessly when it came out, also with graphics enhancement mods.

Do you have changed any hardware in your ring since December? Anything?

Well either way it still ended up crashing, but i made it farther then before. I was actually about to get executed, then it crashed. My hardware is exactly the same as it was in December, no changes.

I cannot see any problem in your dxdiag at the moment, but obviously something is wrong... :(
You can play other games in your PC without problems? If is a full reboot (not a CTD), must probably is a hardware problem, not a software problem...

-Check your temperatures of CPU and GPU (I use Open Hardware Monitor)

-If you have possibility, try replacing your Power Supply Unit for another a little higher and see if the problem is solved...

All my other games run fine, I just stopped playing BF3 after a 3-4 hour session. I dont think temps are the problem, BF3 surely is more taxing then Skyrim, I think. And yes its a full crash.

Its really weird. :/ Maybe my RAM usage has to do with it, ill try getting rid of some background programs.

Strange problem indeed. :( A hard crash is most of the times related with hardware failure but if you play Battlefield smoothly, but not Skyrim ...

No new ideas for now, I'm tired (lot of grammar errors) Sorry.

Dont worry about it, im sure ill find out how to fix it eventually. Im not too pressed to play skyrim right now anyways, especially with Mass effect 3 keeping my busy. But still, kinda irks me that one of my games isnt working properly :/

EDIT: Don't forget about your .INI files — they remain after an uninstall/reinstall. Remove the .INI's to force the game to make new ones like Thingme sugest if not tried this already.
