ya cant start the quest "blood on the ice" : V

so as my post said, i tried buying that house, it wont let me and found out that if i was over 245 days in game the quest wont start.

Posting it in another forum area and bumping will not help.

There have been loads of threads about this quest in the Spoilers/Hints forum, try using the search function to find one and get help there.

It is bugged. The only workaround I have discovered is

to steal the key to Hjerim from Nilsine's mother (she lives right next door to Hjerim with her husband and only living daughter), go in, and the quest will start. When you finish the quest and get to the point where you can buy the house (which requires going about halfway into the Civil War Questline), buy the "clean up murderer's mess" before buying any other decorations.

It is truly the best house in the game IMO. Hjerim has a secret passage of sorts.
