Dragonborn option is only given when you get to that point I the MQ, you either bypassed that point somehow or don't realize your already a member.

Don't tell me its not possible to come back to it.. i feel i may cry, im NOT learning magic, im NOT starting again, and it pisses me off how i can only get every dragonshout and priest mask by doing EVERY guild! Even the Forbidden Legend quest requires me to finish the college quests! This is [censored] stupid Bethesda, sort this out! This is the only problem ive had with this game, everything else i can work around, or look past, graphical bugs are not an issue to me, but when [censored] poorly thought out gameplay stops me from enjoying the game i get mightily pissed off!

I have no problem with not getting everything without doing everything. The goal for me is not to get everything unless I'm playing a character who plans to get everything.

This is what i mean, my character who wishes to master the Thu'um cannot unless he goes through the college quests, now this isnt a problem because i can roleplay and make an excuse as to why he is joining the college, but i dont want to learn any spells in order to get in, i want to use the dragonborn option and now im majorly screwed!

I'm with Fin on this one. You'd have to do some sort of ridiculous roleplay to actually get all of the Masks and shouts legitimately. The latter requires you do every questline.

I too would like to rid Skyrim of those evil Dragon Priests and master the Thu'um WITHOUT having to prance around like a sissy elf and fling spells willy-nilly, or join those "Daddy didn't hug me"-types of the Darkbrotherhood. Much agreed to the OP.

I think one time I had a pure melee character and wanted to get in there, I ended up buying a novice hood and a ring that gave a magicka bonus so that I could learn the spell to get by.

So basically spending a little gold and casting a spell once got me in the guild.
