Carriages not working? : V

So after getting to Whiterun and doing some quests, I decided to try out the carriage, I paid the driver to take me to Riften, got in the back, and nothing happened, it just stayed there, with the driver repeatedly stating he doesn't have all day and asking if im ready, am I missing something, or is it a bug?

Same thing happens to me.

Also be on the lookout for an NPC Esbern further in the main story line, if he doesn't have audio, you're not going to be able to finish the game until it gets fixed.

Same here. Carriages are useless as of now.

Had this problem as well , but its due to you being overweight in items doesnt tell you this , like when you try to map travel where it tells you you cannot , so same thing with carriages just no message stating this , also if you have enabled god mode to rid of the wieght problem , doesnt matter....tested both and still wouldnt let me go unless i lose the weight.

carriages are pretty useless anyway, all they do is teleport you there, your basically paying to fast travel, I would rather walk the distance and enjoy the scenery, can't wait for someone to mod them in real time

I wonder if this is the same issue I had. Carriages wouldn't work and I tried starting the College of Winterhold stuff and was having difficulty buying the fire spell off of that dunmer. I quit Skyrim. Came back a little while later... loaded the game... and woosh! Right when my character loads:

30 GOLD REMOVED

30 GOLD REMOVED

FIREBOLT ADDED

Screen goes black.
Loading screen.
Suddenly I'm in Whiterun.

The hell?

I am having the problem of the carriage doing nothing and the guy constantly repeating "are you ready to go" and other things. I am using a 100x weight limit mod, anyone know if this causes the problem? In the meantime I am going to turn the mod off and test it.

tested and the 100x mod is the problem for me. I just went in to the console and edited my weight value.

Even the carriage you're in when you start a new game is messed up. On the way to the character creation thingy, the entire carriage has a seizure and was jumping all over the place. Dubstep seizure dancing carriages? Lovely...
