CastleFortress in Dawnguard : V

So have you guys heard that Dawnguard will feature two castles (presumably Fort Dawnguard and the Vampire stronghold), and you will be able to customize and decorate them? I personally, have been waiting for this FOREVER. What faction (and the fort that comes with it) will you pick? What are your thoughts on this new, exciting feature?

I'm not sure what side I'll be choosing yet, butI think it's a pretty awesome feature.

I agree, and I think the Dawnguard looks much cooler.

Yeah, I think the Dawnguard castle looks alot nicer. Not really into the overly dark Gothic theme the vamp ones have. Its nice, but not my thing.

The Dawnguard one just looks more.. Comfortable.

the walls of it from the outside reminded me a bit of the walls around the imperial city and also of the layout of skingrad.

Ha! That's right. It does look a lot like Skingrad(my favorite city).

Yep, I always liked the look of Skingrad, and Fort Dawnguard looks like it somewhat. And not to mention that my character build is a Nord sword-and-shield knight, who hunts and kills all evil creatures (vamps, werewolves, daedra, ect.).

i wouldnt expect being able to interior decorate like you're thinking...when todd said you can trick them out im sure he means you can buy upgrades for them like you can for your homes

Once you start playing the DLC, will Whiterun still be part of these quests, or do you totally leave the area and not have to come back, unless to your home, etc???

Unknown, but it looks like it's on the main map.

I kinda like the look of the inside screenshots of the Vampire castle. That will be my castle of choice for my Dunmer vampire (obviously), but the Dawnguard castle also looks really nice and will be my choice for one of my other Werewolf characters. Can't wait to explore them, I always love going through castles in Elder Scrolls and I imagine these will have a lot of detail since they are a main focus.

I am excited for the game it really makes being a vampire have some purpose. Unlike before where u just basically made everyone angry and burned in the sun
