I'm deciding to challenge myself and play through the Honest Hearts DLC wearing only my best armor, and carrying my best weapon.

This is the easy challenge.

The hard challenge, is taking no armor, and no/your weakest weapon. :3

I've actually done this, running in carrying nothing on me but my caraveener outfit. It did make the playthrough a bit harder, but probably not that much for an unarmed character. The only problem I had was ammunition for a bit (I literally brought only the outfit no money) but I always seem to have that problem in HH because the weapons I bring are usually use 5.56, 9mm, or 10mm. But going in remnants armor makes you a god.

Don't know if this is a challenge but just something i like to do sometimes when im bored...ok...no armor, no weapons, nothing...and i'll travel somewhere very far from my safehouse (currently using Novac) once there...you try to make it back alive...meaning you only use weapons and items you find along the way to survive your journey back...btw no fast-traveling is allowed...that would be cheating...

That sounds like fun except the no-weapon part. I would at least take a 9mm in poor repair with only a few bullets to kill one person and take their weapon and then proceed from there.

Seemingly Hard Challenge: Playing Dead Money on Very Hard, hardcoe Mode at a low level.
I've never done this and never will.

I like wandering the sewers with a 9mm machine gun with less than 200 rounds, killing feral ghouls. It makes me feel like I'm in a movie. ;D

I may be a touch odd... but I like having my gear stripped. It forces me to use all that cool new stuff, and I have more room to pack crap.

So when I got the call for Zion I ditched everything I owned except

50 10mm Rounds
5 Stimpacks

I was thankful that the water was drinkable, and plentiful. Also the fact that at the start I was given all the meat I would need (Dine N Dash FTW)

Odds are high I will do the same for OWB... Well I may also pack 15 Gecko Meat as I am unsure about the amount of ready food stuff in there...

Gunny made a sugestion the other day and a few of us decided to make a DiD play through, to make a things a lil herder for me i decided not to use PA on that one, haven't trayed out HH but i will let you know in a few days when i get there if i'm still alive by then

Hey me too...honestly the sewer system in Fallout 3 was one my favorite places to explore...feral ghouls are one of my favorite enemies to put down...like zombies (if zombies took roids and psycho)...its too bad the sewer system in New Vegas was so small...

I thoroughly enjoyed the Metro in Fallout 3. It was fun to explore, and the stations were so amazing. It's too bad NV doesn't have a Metro, we've just got a sewer. It's not as... fun.

And the fact that the Reavers in NV got super nerfed :blink:

I think New Vegas was great but nothing like Fallout 3...In Fallout 3 I can honestly say it had moments in it that made me creeped out..and just downright scared sometimes...don't agree?...try exploring the metro or dunwich building late at night, lights off...all alone...with the pip-boy radio off and the sound turned up...the Fallout series needs more moments like that!

I agree. Fallout New Vegas was a bit too actioney. It's more circled around fighting and war, rather than horror and a scare factor. Fallout 3 was very nicely done, it withheld a good balance between ruined metropolis that gave it that good end of the world feeling, and wilderness, that gave it that good survivalist feeling.

But FNV has too much wilderness, and it even lacks that survivalist feeling.

I went in the first time through with roaving trader outfit,storm chaser hat, 5 stims and two of each other chem,1000 caps,10 boby pins,a water and a 2 gecko stakes my weatherd 10mm(take it every where,my trust side arm :biggrin: ) with 5 clips, and a caravan shotgun with 50 shells.

I played hard core and on normal.It was a challenge, though not to hard.It was a lot of fun, I truly got to use my play style(stealthy, living off the land, ect).

Looking at all of these interesting play styles, I think mine is pretty boring. It's really "The American Way". x33 Mine is just use a bunch of amazing weapons and armor, and just take stimpaks and drink from water sources. I don't eat food, or drink bottled water, I really take advantage of the unrealisticness of the game. :3 It's just shoot, loot, stims, shoot, loot, stims. It's never like stop at a campfire, collect plants, make them, take them, resume game. :3

I am thinking of making a new play style, I just think it's a hassle to waste time on campfires and stuff when I can just buy what I need? Or use what I already have.

1. Get stung by a Cardazor, kill it, then let your health get to Heart Beat status.

2. Fast Travel to your farthest point south

3. No Armor, one weapon 10 rounds, 1 melee weapon, No Aid items

4. Begin your travels North without any Fast Travel

5. destination North Passage, enter and do the same to the Shaman's hide out.
