I challenge you to a dual !

Post » Sun Jun 10, 2012 4:41 pm

That's what some wizard told me in Whiterun, said "So you think your pretty hot stuff !" After killin him I stripped him down and blew him and his little pony tail up and down the street for others to see with fireballs/Electric Bolts and then tossed him in the stream near the front gate. Was there a reason for this attack ? I have the feeling that maybe the game feels my Magic is not properly balanced and wanted to prove it ? But I am an Assissan Battle Mage.

I just got challenged, but elsewere. Haven't joined the college yet. I should have turned his silly self down. Soon as he threw one spell at me, Lydia and Meeko chewed him a new one. I couldn't throw a spell myself for fear of hitting them. Sooooo unfair, for him.

What? A wizard duel? o.0 That never happened to me and my first toon is the Archmage! Well, I'm glad I was never challenged though, I don't really dabble in magic besides restoration LOL

And may I add, that I still think it's strange my characters can even vie for the Archmage position, None of them uses magic really. They are all Blade people LOL

I had restoration as my highest skill, and had some guy track me down so I could teach him about wards, so it's not all pistols at dawn.

I am the Arch Mage. A LVL 20 with 50 Destruction, Sneek, 90 Black Smith, 30 Single Weapons, 30 Conjeration I duel weld Daggers and use either fire cloak or Electric for close combat. And tend to prefer Firebolt and Electric or Ice. Sometimes Chain Lightening or Snow Storm situation dependant. He had a huge health bar, and used chain lightening which wasn't doing much to me, and I had Fire bolt and Ice loaded at the time and it wasen't having much effect. So I hit him with Chain Lightening after slowing him down with snow storm. But his health bar was still huge. Then he pulled his dagger and attacked. So I hit Flame cloak and duel daggers, and he lasted 1.2 secs. ? It was fun but I wish he was tuffer !! Which is sayin somethin cause I get killed all the time playn this Char !! :bunny:

The first time I had that duel I was with Uthgard the unbroken as a follower, who got an instant killing blow on him before he even got a spell off. Very amusing, as I had only met her a few minutes before and she had just got through telling that that she was kicked out of the companions... for "accidentally" killing someone in a duel. Doh.

Funny that. I had been playing as a stealth archer until I hit level 50 and needed some mage skills to level up further. So I signed up to the College.

When the guy showed up to duel me, I had no attack spells of any worth... But I DO have a perfected smithed bow strapped to my back and maxed archery. Cue the poor man complainng that "This is suppose to be a MAGIC duel!" while I turn him into a porcupine with my arrows.

What do you mean you have no choice? Yo can always cancel out of a dialogue by pressing the back button. You only keep talking to her if you wanted to join.

I had him in middle of Riften's marketplace at - what - level 10? He almost killed me because I didn't dare to use AoE spells in fear of attacking innocents. My mind tells two stories on how it ended: 1) I killed him with firebolts 2) he hit someone innocent and guards took him down. Could be both.

It was my first playthrough and i walked up to the bridge to explore the place she wouldn't let me go past without casting a spell or w/e so i cast a fireball that i had then after i was told to talk to somebody in the building, long story short, joined the mages guild when not meaning to or something i don't fully remember it was in nov, i have not played since as i got bored of the game, trying to get back into the game but it's boring. even with all my mods.

I've repeatedly run into Orcs on the road who call me milk-drinker, or ask for for "an honorable death". Both amount to the same thing. (The first type picks a fight with you if you tell them to take it back, the second only fights if you agree to do so.) Not sure if that's universal or specific to having high two handed / heavy armor skills.

My first thought after reading the subject was that someone is going to make fun of all those who write "duel-wielding"...

"Duel" is when two fight each other.
"Dual" only means double.

It can be confusing, because both words have the same origin (=> "duo", Latin).
