I'm finding the damage it takes to kill different animals in the game is out of balance, especially on hard difficulty, and I want to try and balance things out. Example: On normal difficulty, it takes 1-2 bullets to kill a coyote and 4-5 well-placed bullets to kill a radscorpion. On hard difficulty, killing a coyote becomes a bit more difficult as expected. But it seems I can empty out my sniper rifle on a radscorpion with hardly a dent -- they're way too tough to kill in relation to the normal difficulty setting.
I prefer playing on hard difficulty for the challenge, but as one possible work-around, I used the console command to lower my maximum health to 100 points, then dropped the difficulty setting down from hard to normal. But I found on normal difficulty that getting shot doesn't ding my health as much as I like. So I'm now wondering if it's possible to mod take-damage values for certain animals like the radscorpion and deathclaw, etc.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
