Changes to regular vampires?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 11:06 am

So, what are they?!

I have friends who's very LIVES depend on the changes! It is your duty to help me save them by telling me this life saving information!!!

If that's not a bad guilt trip, I don't know what is!

Regular vamps are no longer attacked on sight at stage 4. Think that's it.

So that's the big vampire "overhaul"?

I think you can feed on people without waiting for them to sleep.

You can turn into a Vampire Lord, which is quite the overhaul.

Edit: there are also blood potions you can take from Castle Volkihar for portable feeding, and something called human cattle at that castle as well. You can also feed as a VL during combat iirc.

1. You have fire eyes
2. Stage 4 doesn't draw aggro
3. Vampire Lord
4. You can -sort of- feed on NPCs while they're awake
5. Blood potions
6. Weakness to fire only goes up to 50%, as well as resistance to frost.

Blood potions allow for feeding via potions, anywhere and anytime. And I apologize for my incomplete info, I've just never played as a vampire...I prefer hunting them.

4. You can only feed on non sleeping NPCs if:
a. You're performing a quest that requires you to turn them. This is done via vampiric seduction, and them interaction.
b. if they're thralls at castle Volkihar.

5. Blood potions confer the same benefits as feeding. You get them via Volkihar side quests. They also regenerate 100 points of health.

So do I, but I got hyped up into playing a vampire and setting her up for Dawnguard...and....ya....

May have to add myself to my fictional suicide list...

So basically the whole part in the trailer where the Vampire character bites the NPC on the neck while standing up was BS?

I CURSE YOU TODD HOWARD!!! AWAY!!! (Said in the female dunmer voice in Morrowind, it's what she said to vampires).

Not entirely, but you definitely just can't do it at will.

This seems like one crappy overhaul. I really didn't think it was possible for them to make it any worse, but I guess I stand corrected.

I haven't done any testing, but I don't think so.

Level 4 vampire's have heavy stamina, health and magicka drops during day time.

But at night you are a bit overpowered... O.o the new vampires with the Necromage perk.

Okay. Question over here.

With the new incredibly ridiculous eyes, how do vampires like Alva or Sybil blend in?

Exactly. There is no point. It actually encourages the player to starve their character.

No. The VL perks are only when in VL form.

Sybil is more noticeable, but she doesn't have the same glowing eyes. There is no change with Alva. As for how people don't notice, I blame the Skooma.
