When i press b it brings up menu i go into items then misc to find my gold and its not there but i have 30,000 gold coins how do i fix this

If i am searching a chest and look in my inventory i see my gold and in my misc. It says i have gold but when i go out and just hit b go to items my misc is not there if i only have gold on me

You can only see the gold when your placing items in a container, they probably did that because if you dropped all your gold the game would probably crash from so many objects...
