My character project

Name of Character: Paulus Soderes

Race: Imperial

About my project: A balanced character that will allow to change the style of the play as needed or as desired. The character is a normal fellow that eventually will conquer the Skyrim lands.
High morality and desire to help others are the main atributes. Slightly naive. Not from around and all he knew are rummors. Likes to travel but willing to settle here in these nordic landswith friendly people. Inteligent, friendly and hard working.
Is good at fighting one handed with shield, his grandfather beeing an imperial sword master. Desires to learn dual wield but is bad at two handed and not inclined to use (except in rare ocasions). Bow is secondary but important. Although he knows some about heavy armour, likes better light armour, mainly for appearence sake.
Novice at spells, only knows healing but willing to learn some other casting. Has deep respect for mages.
Knows little about sneaky strategies but has an inexplicable temptation to use “indirect” ways. Maybe from his youth after a friendship with a khajiit.

Majors – One hand, restoration and light armour.
Secondaries – sneaking, pickpocketing and lockpicking as one set.

– destruction, block and archery as an other set.
– alchemy, enchanting and smithing as a third set.
One more special skill will be speech.

Health – Stamina – Magicka: 40 – 30 – 30

Perks, as they are planned to be at the end of leveling: skyrimcalculator.com/#85738
(Please advise if have any thoughts about perks alocation!)

Intent is for 1-2 swords, a good light armour and a good shield. A bow as a secondary weapon.

If there are any thoughts on my build project (like foulty perks alocation) please feel free to express them.

As a generalist, you'll find that your character is permanently gimped when he maxes out leveling. At least that was the case with TES III & TES IV. Skyrim is much more forgiving. Still, a character that can do everything doesn't usually do anything well. The question is, will you be able to take the necessary perk points to truly master your skills or will you spread yourself too thin? One thing I will point out is that the lockpick and speech perk trees are nearly useless. There's really no need to max out pickpocket either, although there are some useful skills in there. Also, I don't play a mage but I get the impression that destruction and sneak don't complement each other very well.

Otherwise, what you propose seems feasible.

The game gets so easy after L30 or so with a focused build that I'd say it's almost designed for a generalist build. With that said, in many ways it's more fun to have multiple characters for a change of pace rather than one that does everything.

Don't get too carried away with him. You'll probably change your mind along the way. Log in and play!

it`s not that I don`t understand the advantages of specializing. I do. I just wanted to create a character that would NOT be a fantasy character. In a larger sense, one like you and me, a normal one, put in skyrim`s situations.

I feel bad that speech doesn`t mean much, as in a big world like skyrim is, making friends should be an important factor.

Anyway, this is a new twiked per list:
