Was playing the game tonight, had just finished a match and received a message stating the the server had shut down. I was within the game menu and my Characters were still there, the options for online game modes were greyed out. I then exited the game, through the game menu, made sure there was no problem with my internet connection and started it back up. The game launched up like it was the first time and much to my disappointment, my 2 characters, level 16 and 8 were gone. Is there any way to get them back?

Thanks for the reply. I tried the instructions you posted but it didn't change anything. Am I screwed here? Wasn't this issue supposed to be fixed in a patch?

Same happened to me, lost a level 20 and a level 6, I followed the instructions nothing happened, all I have now is a level 1, and I am not leveling all over again.
